My son's music teacher said he needed the 5c to start off vs the 7c. We got this mouth piece and he loves it. No complaints.

I previously ordered this same item in May of last year. I did not open or use it until Fall when it was intended for a particular band/performance. When I opened the 5C box, it had a 3C trumpet mouthpiece in it. When we finally contacted the company. We got 2 replies. One stating they would exchange it if we had all the enclosed paperwork and original box; the second said "no, too much time had passed" and they wouldn't do anything about it. We do like the 5C mouthpiece, but the 3C kills my chops! Amazon was fine. The company who actually mailed the incorrect item ------ thumbs down.

This mouthpiece was purchased as a required tool for the instrument repair program I am currently enrolled in. It is made of a high quality silver plated metal that is very easily cleaned and very durable for everyday use. The cup is a general medium deep that provides great resonance and tone for most players. I am an intermediate trumpet player myself and would highly reccommend this mouthpiece to any beginner/intermediate player who is looking for a great mouthpiece without a great bill.

I got really excited when I saw this knife on sell for $20.
The reason I got really excited? Not gonna lie, it's a good looking knife!

But I ended up not buying it... Why?

Being an engineer that often deals with different alloys, I was very curious as to the material that made this blade.
After much researching, and calling the U.S. rep for Schrade Knives, I only came as close as identifying the material as one of the 400series stainless steel (ss), no one can tell me which of the dozens of possibilities of 400series ss it is. (And just for those curious, there are some that are made to be soft but corrosion resistant, and some hard but not. There are even 400series ss engineered just for welding, etc.) It would make sense if the knife was made from 420 ss. But the fact that no one can tell me for sure (short of me taking it to my lab for testing), shows me a lack of thought and design put into the making of this knife...

But, a cheap knife is a cheap knife right? And 400series ss, no matter what it is, is harder than flesh, right?

So I went to the local Big 5 Sporting Goods store to check it out.
The knife was Sharp! That's good!
The bad???
The sheath is a little loose, which make chickadee noises when you walk, that would annoy the heck out of me on a long hike.
The clip that keeps the knife in the sheath is really hard to engage, but it will get easier with usage.
The display knife's blade was not set in alignment with the handle... making it heavy on the right side... this tells me that either this knife can't handle being a display model, or the manufacturing process for this knife is shotty. Both of which should not be the case for a knife if your survival depends on it.

Bottom line...
I would not get this knife for backpacking trips due to the questionable quality.
I would not get this knife for hikes due to the weight and the annoying sounds it makes when walking fast with it.
I would not get this knife for random around the house chores due to the size.

But if you have other uses for it, it is a great looking knife!

I flip-flopped on this knife and another similarly priced knife for longer than I should've. I made a split minute decision one night and went with the schrade. I have one pocket knife made by them and have been very happy with it. Once I opened my package I knew this knife wouldn't let me down. You can't ask much from a knife, so one that is solid built (with good steel), balanced, and cuts well is an A+ in my book. Throw in the saw teeth and a well constructed sheath, and I'm a very happy customer. This is def with me in the woods.

My ONLY complaint is the handle is a little large for my liking. I have big hands, so it's not a huge deal, but for smaller framed people, this may be more of an issue to them than me.

I bought these headphones for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loved them and a month later they broke. We just got a replacement and so far they are working great. He loves them for his computer games and I love them because I dont have to listen to it.

I was severely disappointed when I received this headset and found out that it does not actually support surround sound. The Dolby technology in this headset is capable of producing virtual surround sound from 2 speakers, but the USB device only works as a stereo device. This means that it only accepts 2 channels of audio and makes it sound more spacious. It cannot provide any type of positional audio like other virtual surround headsets, such as Logitech, Astro, Turtle Beach, or Razer. The product description implies that the headset converts surround sound data into virtual surround, but it simply does not. I have confirmed this with Plantronics tech support.

Furthermore, the "virtual surround" just makes things sound worse, since it is spreading out 2 channel audio. The headset, since it does not know whether sounds should be coming from the front or back (it's only stereo), just spreads the sound out and it makes movies and games just sound muddy and directionless. You're better off just buying a normal stereo headset.

I just got my headset, and I compare it with the Sound Blaster Arena, which is the last sourround gaming headset I had. Here are my observations.

- It is sturdier than the Arena, and bulkier. In fact it is a very big gaming headset.
- It does not need to install a big deal of software, in fact it doesnt even have a cd with installation drivers. The Arena had a lot of Creative Software for different purposes like voice modding, EQ and other stuff. It is just plug and play.
- It comes with a mic and headphone jacks, for Stereo sound. Plug those two on the Dolby USB sound card for a "virtual" 7.1 sourround sound. It sounds better but I just dont really hear the sourround sound like the Arena.
- it doesnt blow your mind with its volume, and I could say it kinda low, even thou it doesnt hurt your hearing. Some people might prefer a higher volume level, so keep that in mind.
- Its not sound cancelling, so you can hear what someone by your side is saying. The Arena do cancel sound and my wife hated it when she wanted to talk to me and I didnt realized so.
- I havent tried the mic yet, so I cant give a proper review of it... yet. (Ill update when I do so).
- Like other reviewers said, it tend to clamp your head a bit, specially in the lower part of the speakers, near the jaw area, not a big deal but big headed guys could find that really uncomfortable. In that matter the Arena is really more comfortable.

All in all, as I said, its a good but not great gaming surround headset. Got em on the cheap side ($50 at the moment) Bulkier, a bit clamping, and you can hear what people say next to you. If you want more comfy and booming headsets, and have the money for it, look for other alternatives, this is an OK product.

My wife and I received this a few years ago as a gift. This last grilling season I found out how awesome it is. I would throw in a sliced onion, a few cans of beer and brats and let it simmer as I cooked the ribs, burgers, chicken, then just flame the brats to make them snap. Also used it for smoking baked beans for hours as I smoked ribs and beer can chickens. Was hoping to smoke a pot of chili in it, but looks like I'm running out of decent weather to be sitting and drinking outside all day.
