My wife and I received this a few years ago as a gift. This last grilling season I found out how awesome it is. I would throw in a sliced onion, a few cans of beer and brats and let it simmer as I cooked the ribs, burgers, chicken, then just flame the brats to make them snap. Also used it for smoking baked beans for hours as I smoked ribs and beer can chickens. Was hoping to smoke a pot of chili in it, but looks like I'm running out of decent weather to be sitting and drinking outside all day.

Really loved it but had to replace it as it's not ideal to use on a Glasstop stove (primarily for weight).

I like it, and with this purchase, I now have Lodge Cast Iron Dutch Ovens in 5qt, 7qt, and 9qt sizes. These ovens, complement the other Lodge cast iron cookware I own and use, extremely well; and, so far I've not experienced any of the problems that others say they have had with their Lodge Cast Iron cookware.
